| At present, the I.E.S. Pablo de Olavide has become the centre with the largest number of pupils and teaching in La Carolina (Jaén). It is in the south of the town, in a heterogeneous environment made up of middle and lower middle-class neighbourhoods and socially disadvantaged areas. There are more than 600 pupils and 67 teachers who teach in the different courses of Secondary, High Secondary, basic vocational training, intermediate level vocational training (CFGM) and higher-level training courses, in the professional families of: Mechanical Manufacturing, Electricity-Electronics and ICT, Maintenance and Production Services. The courses are the following: – CFGM Telecommunications Installations – CFGM Electromechanical Maintenance – CFGM Machining. – CFGS telecommunication and computer systems – Level 2 certificates of professionalism (VET for employment) in the areas of mechanical manufacturing, industrial maintenance, telecommunications and IT. With the aim of improving the activities it carries out, it has a quality system certified according to the ISO 9001/2015 standard. Participating in numerous educational and socio-educational projects. As an example of this and of its vocation for internationalisation, it is developing a pioneering bilingualism project in vocational training, which aims to promote this aspect, complementing the Erasmus+ projects in which it participates.
